I’ve recently been looking to purchase some new dress shoes, so I’ve been looking at a ton of styles. I’ve decided I’m looking for a little more flare, but subtle flare because I’m working in a corporate office so I can’t go too off the handles. More like a silent protest to the everyday, mudane, bland looking attire I see. So, I’ve been leaning towards the perforated wing tips, and actually came across a few styles I liked from Alden Shoes, but I think I’ve landed on these longwing perforated bluchers. I’m really feeling the intricate details in the stitching and the eyelets stitched on the outside of the vamp.
Alden is considered one of the notable remaining American shoe companies, that completes it’s entire production within the states. They are a 4th generation shoe maker, the oldest in New England, and they specialize in the Cordovan (horse leather) dress shoes, but also have a number of styles in cow hide and accessories like shoe trees.
