Up-And-Coming -- Dumbo Gets Mad + Bad Panda Records

Earlier this week we received a submission for an up-and-coming artist, Dumbo Gets Mad. Claudio, from the up-and-coming label, Bad Panda Records asked that we consider the new LP, Elephants At The Door which they are extremely proud of. I began to look into the bands website to find a little background information. I soon learned the their influences and style. Dumbo Gets Mad is a one-man-band psychedelic-rock project. The band emulates the style of Ariel Pink, Tame Impala and MGMT but  is also influenced from many different types of music.

BIO: ‘Dumbo Gets Mad emerged in the summer of 2010 in Northern Italy and has now migrated to Los Angeles. His initial aim was to lay down some marvelous music in an organic manner, open to whatever direction the tunes took during the recording session. The first published track was Plumy Tale, which received positive reviews from a number of music blogs. Dumbo then decided to work on a debut album with an express goal and spirit in mind: “No matter what it sounded like, it had to be psychedelic!”’

The album has a very relaxed, indie, psychedelic vibe that can’t be found anywhere else. Its an excellent choice if you’re chilling out with some friends on a hot summer day enjoying a few Stella Artois’s.
