There is some pretty outstanding architecture in the world we live in today including the Vodafone Head Office in Portugal. The modern style building was designed by architects José António Barbosa and Pedro Guimarães of Barbosa Guimarães Arquitectos.

In 1984, Vodaphone was just a tiny UK start-up. Today the company is one of the worlds leading telecommunication platforms working around the globe. The Vodafone’s headquaters is located Avenida da Boavista in Porto (Oporto).

The main goal in the design of the building was to reflect the Vodafone life, a life in motion. The result of their efforts as you can see is a building that appears out of balance. The building that defies modern design has 3 of its 8 floors underground.

Like the outside of the building, some of the hallways are angular and look almost like your crawling through a clean, white tunnel.

I am a huge fan of anyone who “thinks outside the box” and the architects that designed this building surely did. To see a few more photos of the building visit the CoolHunter.
