I’m always going to be a Blackberry supporter over the iPhone but this is an interesting idea. The iPhone 4 has a unique accessory surfacing that is perfect for the traveling photographer. The attachment features a small tripod to be able to attach a DSLR Lens. While the iPhone 4 is currently at an improved 5 megapixels it is still behind some of its competitors such as the HTC Evo 4g which features a 8 megapixel camera. This accessory shows the capability and future of where cell phones are headed.

This is sooo cool! It looks kind of clunky at this point but I see what you mean about phones being able to integrate with other gadgets in the future like this.

Don’t pay much attention to megapixel count when it comes to cameras. It’s a marketing strategy that isn’t all that important to the functioning of the machine. This is interesting but, as previously mentioned, a bit clunky.

Thanks, I just have one question though: isn’t higher megapixels better if you went to blow up the image?

Yes. But how big of a blow up are we talking here? If you want to blow it up to mural/wall-sized, then megapixel count is something to pay attention to. But if you want to blow it up to 8×10, then the difference is marginal to nil.
