Sketch by Hugh Macleod. Check out his book and site at gapingvoid.com

I started reading “Ignore Everybody And 39 Other Keys to Creativity” last night by Hugh Macleod and was inspired. For the record, this book is actually a masterpiece. It is a complete piece of art in its own right as it’s filled with his brilliant writing and his untouchable personal sketches.  He combines business, art, and a cynical humor to make a book that will truly inspire your life. As I was reading the first couple chapters I began to wonder how many blog posts I could achieve over my lifetime. At 1 a day I would be looking at approximately 13,000 (by the age of 60) including the 300 I already have. If I stepped that up to 2 a day then I should be able to reach 25,000.Some days might only have 1 post, and some days could have 5. There are also a lot of events and items in the future that will require extra blog posts.  I realize that life is busy and I don’t want to just post for the sake of a number and I do believe in the added value of scarcity. On the other hand I like to blog, I am obsessed with the internet and I like what I am trying to accomplish so why shouldn’t I be able to reach 25,000?
