Stockholm’s New Photo Museum Opens

Innovate or die. A new photo museum, Fotografiska recently opened that put most other cities photo establishments to shame. The building was designed by Ferdinand Boberg in Art-Nouveau industrial style from 1906. Ferdinand has designed other statuesque buildings in the area including Nordiska Kompaniet (NK) and Björns Trägård. Some of the features of the beatific structure include a 2,500 square-meter gallery space, and of course a gift shop and bar. The opening kicked off with an exhibit entitled “A Photographers Life 1990 – 2005“ by Annie Leibovitz.
